This post features two golden-hour timed sessions with one adorable couple. Yes, they got a bit of preferential treatment. Tim is a photographer and my brother-in-law-to-be, making his photogenic fiance my sister. :) Our first location was chosen because it is the park where Tim proposed. The second Cantigny in Wheaton. Kristen saw my wedding photography online and contacted me about photographing her senior pictures. We chose an eclectic location and were blessed with beautiful weather.
My goal for this shoot was to capture Kristen in a wide range of images showcasing her transition from childhood to adulthood. You will see shots that are whimsical and high fashion, then others that follow the look of more traditional senior photos. Kristen was very patient and easy to direct, making my first foray into senior photos very rewarding. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images!
Brandon and Annemarie were great to work with. They were comfortable in front of the camera, and easy to direct whether they were sitting posed, chasing geese, or climbing in rushes. We had a very relaxed shoot and were rewarded at the end of the day with a beautiful sunset. Here are a few of my favorite shots:
It’s always exciting to shoot engagement and wedding images for the same couple. It gives the photographer an idea of the couple’s comfort level in front of a camera and natural posing capabilities. I quickly discovered that when Rachel and Jordan are together, everyone, especially the photographer, fades away. They are very kind, loving people and I wish them all the best. I was working for Imagineering Studios, Inc. when I shot this wedding.
I was privileged to shoot engagement photos for my wedding photographer friends Rich and Leeann! We had a great time on a beautiful piece of historical property. The most rewarding part was getting to see my images printed and hanging literally everywhere at their wedding!
